Il Sassone Estate offers the possibility to have a satisfying stay full of interesting activities. The Maremma region is so rich in resources and fascinating places that it deserves more than just a brief excursion. Here are our suggestions to make your stay unique and unforgettable!

Thermal springs

The Maremma region is full of thermal springs with extraordinary healing properties that have been used since Etruscan times.

The centres closest to the property (famous also for their fantastic beauty farms) are Saturnia and Venturina. Don’t miss the Biancane, the boraciferous geysers that gush from the ground near Monterotondo Marittimo and Lardarello that give the landscape an evocative atmosphere like in Dante’s Inferno.

A few minutes from the Estate are:

  • The Golf Club Toscana, in Il Pelagone, (an 18 hole course) is just 15 minutes away.
  • The Golf Club Punta Ala (an 18 hole course with a sea view) is less than 40 minutes away.
  • The Argentario Golf Club in Porto Ercole (an 18 hole course) is just 1h away.

excursions

At the request of guests the staff can suggest itineraries of particular interest and beauty, book excursions and visits in the most important and prestigious wineries in the area for wine tasting events.

bicycle

For pedal enthusiasts, mountain bikes or any other type of bicycle can be hired, you can take part in beautiful guided excursions, organized weekly in the wild landscape of the Maremma and, for larger groups, excursions can be organized on itineraries of particular interest, with and without the accompaniment of an expert guide.
Through some Partners we can offer the rental of bicycles and / or mountain bikes for walks in freedom or trips of different degrees of difficulty. Bicycles can be delivered to the Sassone and we can advise you on the most suitable cycling routes. Prices vary according to different needs and opportunities.
Anyone interested in these activities can inform us of their needs when booking to better organize a tailor-made trek, or can ask us for proposals already organized during the period of stay to which they can join even after arrival at Sassone.

Corollo è il nome dell’antica via che percorre la collina del Sassone. Questa via era utilizzata per la transumanza delle mandrie che provenivano da Siena e, scendendo dal Sassone, raggiungevano nell’inverno i verdi e ricchi pascoli delle piane della Maremma.
COROLLO è il nome del Rosato, il primo fiore dei nostri vini, subito pronto in primavera, stagione da cui prende in sé i freschi profumi e le soavi fragranze. 

Il nostro Rosè è un vino dal colore intenso come i nostri tramonti. Accompagna con i suoi profumi e tanta freschezza i pranzi nel pieno sole di mezzogiorno e illumina con infinita magia gli aperitivi al tramonto, proprio quando il sole colora i nostri panorami rendendo tutti noi partecipi del momento più affascinante e intimo della giornata.

Confiente SYRAH

Maremma Toscana

Denominazione di Origine Controllata

CONFIENTE è il nome del torrente che scorre, più in basso, ai piedi della vigna di Syrah. Su un rilievo di terra rossa, che guarda il sorgere del sole, abbiamo piantato questo vitigno proveniente dalla Francia ma di probabili origini medio-orientali.

L’accurata scelta delle barbatelle, la gestione biologica, la cernita degli acini su tavolo di selezione, la vinificazione naturale e la fermentazione spontanea conducono ad un vino che rispecchia fedelmente il carattere di questo angolo interno, più settentrionale e fresco, di Maremma.

Vino Rosso corposo con intense note eleganti, si accompagna a elaborati e importanti piatti di carne. Gratifica e appaga l’appassionato di vini con personalità.
Vino particolarmente fortunato nell’abbinamento con il cioccolato fondente.
